OBWEGESER RETRACTOR • UPWARDS CURVED • 10x35MM • 24.0 CM • CE CLASS I • ISO 13485:2016

Broad Upwards Hook for Powerful Perioral and Intraoral Exposure

The OBWEGESER Retractor upwards curved, 10x35mm, 24.0 cm is a Class I medical device according to ISO 13485:2016. This broader variant with a robust, upward-curved tip is a universally applicable instrument for oral and maxillofacial surgery (OMFS). It provides stable and controlled retraction of larger soft tissue areas for optimal visibility during more complex procedures.

Product Highlights:

✔ Certified according to ISO 13485:2016
✔ CE marking Class I (Regulation (EU) 2017/745)
✔ OBWEGESER design with broad, upwards curved tip
✔ Broad, tall blade (10x35 mm) for stable surface retraction
✔ High-grade stainless steel 1.4401/316L – corrosion-resistant and biocompatible
✔ Biocompatibility tested according to ISO 10993
✔ Atraumatic, polished edges for safe application in the facial region
✔ Optimal length of 24.0 cm for excellent leverage and control
✔ Autoclavable and reusable

Advantages of the OBWEGESER Retractor (upwards curved, 10x35mm):

Powerful Upward Retraction: The broad, upward-curved tip enables secure lifting and holding of extensive soft tissue areas (e.g., entire cheek, floor of mouth, or lip) for optimal exposure in the midfacial and perioral region.
Ideal for Demanding Approaches: Perfectly suited for larger oral surgical procedures, for access to the maxillary sinus, for osteoplastic procedures on the maxilla, or for exposure during treatment of midfacial fractures.
Optimal Tissue Control: The larger blade provides secure and gentle distribution of retraction pressure, which is particularly important during longer procedures.
Versatility in Traumatology and Reconstructive Surgery: Valuable instrument for treating zygomatic or maxillary fractures, as well as for reconstructive procedures following tumor resection in the perioral area.
Ergonomic Efficiency: The combination of size and length allows for powerful yet precise retraction with reduced surgeon effort.

Fields of Application:

• Treatment of midfacial fractures (e.g., zygomatic, Le Fort fractures)
• Advanced oral surgical procedures (removal of large impacted teeth, cysts in the maxilla)
• Preprosthetic surgery (extensive ridge augmentations, sinus lift)
• Tumor surgery in the perioral and cheek region
• Reconstructive procedures following trauma or tumor resection
• Aesthetic surgery in the nasal and lip area (rhinoplasty, lip lift)

Important Application Notes:

FOR USE BY EXPERIENCED ORAL AND MAXILLOFACIAL SURGERY PERSONNEL ONLY.
Stable precision instrument. Nevertheless, controlled force application is required to avoid injury to the infraorbital nerve, facial nerve, or lacrimal apparatus.
• Before each use, inspect for structural integrity, smoothness of edges, and correct curvature.
• The instrument is for soft tissue retraction. Do not use as a lever for bony fragments.
• Exercise particular caution when retracting in the area of the zygoma and orbit to avoid compression of the infraorbital nerve.
• During intraoral use, protect the dental arch and mucosa.
• Discard immediately if the broad tip is bent or damaged, as repair of the specific curvature is difficult.
