Notched Double Hook for Simultaneous, Symmetrical Wound Edge Retraction in Dermatological and Aesthetic Surgery

The PARKER RETRACTOR Type FIG-2 (13.5 cm) is a Class I medical device manufactured according to ISO 13485:2016. This special retractor features two opposing, finely notched (serrated) hooks on a single instrument and is designed for the simultaneous, symmetrical retraction of both wound edges with one hand. It optimizes efficiency when suturing linear wounds or excisions.

Benefits of the Parker Double Hook FIG-2:

Simultaneous and Symmetrical Retraction: Enables the simultaneous, mirror-image retraction of both wound edges with just one hand, increasing efficiency and reducing the need for assistance.
Perfect Wound Edge Adaptation: Ensures absolutely symmetrical tension on both sides of the incision, contributing to precise, tension-free, and cosmetically optimal suture placement.
Ideal for Linear Wounds and Excisions: Particularly effective for suturing elliptical excisions, linear lacerations, or surgical approaches where both sides need to be retracted evenly.
Improved Ergonomics for the Surgeon: The surgeon can control both wound edges with one hand and keep the other hand free for suturing, significantly speeding up workflow.
Reduced Tissue Trauma: The blunt, serrated hooks minimize pressure per area and prevent slipping without injuring the epidermis.

Important Safety and Handling Information:

FOR USE BY SURGICAL OR DERMATOLOGICAL PROFESSIONALS ONLY.
Even Force Application: When opening the instrument, even, symmetrical force must be applied to both hooks to avoid one-sided pulling or tilting.
Atraumatic Handling: The hooks are designed for gentle, even traction. Do not misuse as a spreading instrument to exert excessive tension on the tissue.
Thorough Cleaning: Clean the two opposing hooks and especially the serrations thoroughly after use, as tissue residue can easily accumulate in the narrow angle.
Visual Inspection: Before each use, inspect both hooks for bends, damage to the serration, or deformation of the central connection.
