• Gradual Retraction: Begin with the FIG-1 to elevate the bladder/peritoneum. Only then, if needed, introduce the deeper FIG-2 under vision.
• Atraumatic Application: The wide blades are designed for even, areal pressure. No levering or forced insertion – risk of bladder or bowel perforation.
• Identification of Ureters: Before deep lateral retraction with the FIG-2, the ureters should be identified to avoid compression.
• Cleaning and Joint Storage: Clean both hooks thoroughly after pelvic procedures. Always store together as a set.
