• Even Force Application: The retractor requires balanced and even force on both sides to avoid asymmetric retraction or tilting.
• Careful Insertion: The instrument should be carefully inserted into the anal canal under vision and then gently opened to avoid forcible spreading.
• Not Suitable for Extreme Spreading Forces: The design is intended for moderate, controlled retraction, not for extreme forcible spreading, which could lead to muscle or mucosal tears.
• Thorough Cleaning: Due to the complex shape with two blades, particularly thorough cleaning of all surfaces and angles after each use is required.
• Symmetry Inspection: Before each use, check the symmetry of both blades and the stability of the central connection.
