Our barrel tweezers have a wide, mostly triangular mouth, which is also longitudinally grooved. They are used to fix rough structures. The best-known representatives are the tweezers by Collin-Duval, Mayo-Russ, Singley-Tuttle, Cottle and Samii.
Micro tweezers are between 16cm and 22cm long and curved in a bayonet shape. They are very narrow and therefore ideally suited for operations in difficult to access areas. Due to the bayonet-shaped bend, the surgeon always has an overview and is less disturbed by his own hand in the operation or field of vision.
